Getting there from Roma Norte
The Metro is the fastest way to beat stadium-night traffic. From the hotel:
- Walk 200 m to Sevilla station on Line 1 and ride toward Observatorio to Tacubaya, three stops away.
- At Tacubaya, change to Line 9 toward Pantitlán.
- Get off at Ciudad Deportiva, a few steps from Gate 6, one of the main entrances. If your ticket shows another gate, Velódromo, one stop earlier, may be closer.
By taxi or ride-hailing app it’s about 10 km. Streets around the stadium close on show nights, so ask to be dropped a few blocks away and walk the rest.
Heads-up for Friday the 4th: Caifanes plays the same night at Palacio de los Deportes, also on Line 9. Leave earlier.
What to bring
- Your ticket in the Ticketmaster app, a charged phone and ID.
- A small bag: large backpacks are usually turned away at the gate.
- Outside food and drinks, umbrellas, aerosols, professional cameras and sharp objects are generally not allowed. Check the event’s official list.
- A jacket: December nights in the city are cold.
Getting back at night
Arrive two hours early: security lines at a full stadium take time. The Metro closes at midnight, weeknights included, so plan ahead on Monday the 7th and Tuesday the 8th. If you catch the last train, reverse the route: Line 9 toward Tacubaya and Line 1 toward Pantitlán to Sevilla. If not, order a taxi or app ride a few blocks from the exit, where traffic clears.
December 11, the eve of the Virgin of Guadalupe
The last date falls on the night Las Mañanitas are sung to the Virgin of Guadalupe. That weekend there are road closures in the north of the city and crowds heading to the Basilica, which makes the Metro even more useful. More in our guide to December 12 at the Basilica of Guadalupe.
