Estadio GNP Seguros is the former Foro Sol: a stadium built for concerts, inside the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez racetrack in the Magdalena Mixiuhca sports complex. It opened in 1993 and reopened in 2024, renovated and under its current name. It hosts stadium tours and festivals for about 65,000 people. It’s 10 km from Hotel Emma Boutique, and the Metro drops you a few steps from the entrance.

About the venue
- The 2024 renovation added a 13,000 m² roof over the stands that collects rainwater, plus individual seats in every section.
- It has stands and a large field that’s set up differently for each stage.
- It’s owned by Mexico City and operated by Ocesa.
- It shares the area with Palacio de los Deportes and the racetrack, so events sometimes overlap.
Getting there from Hotel Emma Boutique
- Metro: walk 200 m to Sevilla station and take Line 1 toward Observatorio to Tacubaya, three stops away. Change to Line 9 toward Pantitlán.
- Ciudad Deportiva: get off here if you’re entering through Gate 6, one of the main entrances; it’s a few steps away.
- Velódromo: one stop earlier. It works if your gate is on that side, though you’ll cross two footbridges.
- Taxi or app: about 10 km. Streets around the stadium close on show days, so ask to be dropped a few blocks away and walk the rest.
Getting back at night
The Metro closes at midnight and is packed after shows. If the concert ends late, have a taxi or app plan ready: walk a few blocks away from the stadium and wait a few minutes for demand to ease before ordering. If you make the Metro, reverse the route: Line 9 toward Tacubaya, then Line 1 toward Pantitlán to Sevilla.
Tips
- Arrive at least two hours early: security lines at a full stadium take time.
- Carry a small bag. Outside food and drinks, umbrellas, aerosols, professional cameras and sharp objects are generally not allowed; check your event’s official list.
- Bring your ticket in the Ticketmaster app, a charged phone and ID.
- Bring a light jacket: the field is open-air and nights are cool for much of the year.
