Felipe Ángeles International Airport, AIFA, lies in the State of Mexico, north of the capital, about 43 km from Hotel Emma Boutique. Until recently the only way there was by road; since April 26, 2026, the Felipe Ángeles Train has linked it with the city from Buenavista station. If your flight leaves from here, the train takes the guesswork out of traffic on the way north.

About the Felipe Ángeles Train
- It leaves Buenavista, runs on the Suburbano tracks to Lechería and continues on a new branch to the airport.
- The branch has new stations, such as Cueyamil, Teyahualco and Xaltocan, before the AIFA terminus.
- The ride from Buenavista to the airport takes 45 to 60 minutes.
- Trains run roughly every 15 minutes at peak times and every 30 minutes off-peak.
- It uses different trains and entrances from the Suburbano service to Cuautitlán.
Getting between AIFA and the hotel
Hotel to Buenavista: walk about 10 minutes to Glorieta de Insurgentes and take Metrobús Line 1 toward Indios Verdes to the Buenavista stop. Or take the Metro: Line 1 from Sevilla to Balderas, Line 3 to Guerrero and Line B one stop to Buenavista.
At Buenavista: follow the “Usuarios ramal AIFA” signs, tap your Integrated Mobility Card at that service’s turnstiles and board the train to AIFA. Tap again to exit at the airport. On the way back, reverse the route.
By taxi: the direct option, but timing depends heavily on traffic leaving the city to the north. On arrival, use the authorized taxis booked inside the terminal.
Tips
- For an early flight on a weekend or holiday, check the first train time: service starts later than on weekdays.
- The last train leaves around 23:30; if your flight lands late, have a backup taxi plan.
- Buy or top up your Integrated Mobility Card ahead of time at any Metro or Metrobús station to skip the line at Buenavista.
- With big suitcases, the Metrobús to Buenavista is easier than the Metro transfers.
